A gene can be defined as a region of a DNA that controlls a hereditary characteristic. it ussualy corresponds to a secuence used in the production of a spesific protein.
As soon as a aperm and a ovium join to make a new cell, the cell contains all the information need to build a unique human being. the instuctions that tell the body how to develop are called genes and the study of gnes is genetics.
Genes are sections of a chemical called DNA wich are reproduced in buncles of chromosomes. inside a control untit called NUCLEUS.
each sperm had 23 chromosomes in the fertilization it joins the ovule and the sperm both had 23 chromosomes in total are 46 CHROMOSOMES the cell division by mitosis has divided in 2 parts each part had 46 chromosomes.
HOW WE KNOW IS A GIR OR A BOY ??
The ova= x chromosomes
Half sperm= X chromosome
Half sperm= Y chromosome
A ovule x + sperm x = a girl
A ovule X + sperm Y = A boy
