FRAGMENTATION

fragmentation or conal fragmentation:is a form of asexual reproduction or cloning where an organisim is split in to fragments. The splitting may be international or not. Each of these fragments develop in to nature, fully ground individuals that are clone of the original organisim it split during the process it is repeated. Fragmentation is caused by mitosis. Mmitosis is not envolved in fragmentation.

Fragmentation is seen in many organisims such as molds, some anelid warms, and sea stars. Binary fission at single- called orgaisims such bacteria, protoza, and many algae is a type of fragmentation.

Molds, yeast, and mushrooms, all of which are part of the fungi kingdom, produce tiny filaments called, hyphae, these hyphae, obtain food and nutrients from the body of the other organisims to grow and fertilize.

Fertilization is oobserved in nin vasculr plants as well, liverworts and mosses.

the plants fragmentation:

Fragmentation is a v ery common type of vegetative reproduction in plants. Many trees shrubs, nonwoody prennials and ferns from colonal colonies by producing new rooted shoots, which increases the diameter of colony. if a root becomes detoched from the colony then fragmentation occurred. There are several other mechanisms of natural fragmentation in plants.

-Corals.

-deisavantage of this reproduction

This is a process is a form of asexual reproduction, it does not produce genetic diversity in the offspring. Therefore, these are more vulnerable to changing enviorments.
